On this episode of Chalte Chalte, Shekhar Gupta talks with Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, founder and CMD of Bandhan Bank. A man who quit his job to start an NGO, Bandhan, Mr Ghosh says his aim was to build a micro-finance institution dedicated to help the rural poor get on their feet. Initially, ignoring his wife's anguish at his quitting a salaried job, he began lending people money from his own savings. Today, his entity is worth Rs 11,000 crores and amazingly has NPAs (non-performing assets) of only 0.07%, which is unmatched. (Audio in Hindi)
