* This was not the Ciara storm of 09-02, but a week earlier 02-02-2020*
Strong winds at Schiphol are always interesting. Sometimes you will be asked to land on a runway you don't expect. Today we make a lovely approach over windy Amsterdam. You can see the city beautifully. This is not a regular landing runway because you will overfly the city.
Just to give an idea... during approach the wind it still 50kts (around 90km/h).
Apart from the beautiful view you might have.... taxi time is not that long! ;-)
