How many CLIENTS do I need to earn 100K annually? I am often asked the question 'how many bookkeeping clients do I need?' It depends so much on the size of the client and how many hours you are able to work. I created a (downloadable!) excel spreadsheet that will help you calculate how many clients you need based on your income goals. Just put your income at the top ($100,000, or $50,000 or $250,000 and beyond) and see how many clients you need to make your bookkeeping business successful.
