Lehigh Valley Public Media, home of PBS39, 91.3 WLVR, and LehighValleyNews.com honored local awardees on May 23, Kindness Day, at the 7th Annual Good Neighbor Awards: the Honorable Pat Browne, Steven Thompson, Vice President of Finance for Delane Consulting and former Lehigh Valley Public Media Board Chair, and the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley.

The Good Neighbor Awards are given out annually in the spirit of PBS personality Fred Rogers to individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to improving the quality of life in our community. Also inspired by Rogers, the event was held on May 23rd, the 143rd day of the year, to honor his use of 1-4-3 as another way of saying “I love you.”
