5 Ways to Lessen Your Impact on the outdoors shows you 5 simple ways you can change your habits, or start new ones, that will make a difference in your outdoor experience. We all need to take better care of our outdoor places. That’s why we all need to be a part of the solution.

We all love the outdoors. But are we loving the outdoors to death? As more of us head into the outdoors for fun and epic adventures, it becomes even more important that we all are doing our best to take care of these special places. That’s why we want to show you 5 Ways to Lessen Your Impact on the outdoors.
Taking the time to be aware of the awesome outdoor places we love, either when we go backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering or just simply camping, is something we are all responsible for. Simple things can make a difference. Following the best practices of the Leave No Trace mantra, we can all keep the places we love from becoming a place that no one wants to visit.
Staying on the trail, not cutting switchbacks, camping on durable surfaces, not feeding the animals and visiting the National Parks that have really high volume in the off season can make a tremendous difference. These are just some of the ways we can ensure a great experience for ourselves and those that come after us. Diverse groups all over, from the AMGA (American Mountain Guides Association) to rock climbing associations endorse a grander need to preserve, protect and advocate for the principles of stewardship for our wild places.
We highly recommend that you visit the Leave No Trace website at https://lnt.org/get-involved/training.... Take the course. You’ll have fun, learn some new skills and become a better steward in the outdoors. Teach others what you know. We are all responsible. Please, make a difference and let us know what some of your favorite ways are to keep the outdoors special. And remember, We’ll See You Outside!

The recipe for Sawback Gear was born high on the switchbacks of Mount Whitney. The idea was simple, we wanted everyone to have the opportunity to experience the combination of relaxation, excitement, and rejuvenation that only the outdoors can provide. Start by giving people the know-how they need to ensure their adventures are successful and fun. Next, help people find the best equipment and gear they need. Finally, focus on the community, creating a group of people who simply love being outdoors. Throw in a handful of conservation (because you can’t go outdoors without the outdoors) and you’ve got the recipe for Sawback Gear. Whether its rock climbing, backpacking, mountaineering, or camping, if you want to get outdoors, we are here to help. If you love the outdoors as much as we do, subscribe to our channel!
