This video walks through what I pack and where I pack it on my KTM 350 EXC-F dirt bike for long-distance, "ultralight" adventuring. All my tools weigh less than 7lbs (four bags), and remaining gear (tent, camp kitchen, sleep gear, town/camp clothing, misc.) weighs about 35lbs total (including weight of bags). Total riding weight is ~350lb.

Oil Changes - This seems to be the most asked question in the comments. Basically I think the service intervals are way over-rated. 15hrs is ridiculous IMHO. I'm going at leisurely "touring" pace, not crazy race pace. So, I did one oil change in Moab (about half-way through the trip) and it was fine. Cleaned the air filter and replaced the fuel filter, too. These EXC bikes can literally go around the world (google Aaron Steinmann: https://blog.ktm.com/around-world-ktm...) so the oil changes are not a big deal.
