The next generation telescope, the James Webb Space Telescope, was launched on December 25, 2021. It already possesses countless images of the universe's marvels. The telescope has a main mirror made up of 18 segments, a five-layer sunshield, and the NIRCam, NIRSpec, MIRI, and FGS/NIRISS collecting equipment. These devices take pictures and spectra at several wavelengths, including infrared, to find the first stars, galaxies, and exoplanets. Stephan's Quintet, the Tarantula Nebula, and the Southern Ring Nebula have all been photographed by the telescope, and their images have revealed significant details on galaxy history, star formation, and the makeup of nebulae.
