In this episode of the sculpted bar stool build I take on one of the tasks that motivated me to do this build along with the Maloof joints - powercarving the seat. I mark out the shape of the butt bolster and drill depth indicating holes in preparation for powercarving. I also mark the outside shape and cut that on the bandsaw. Next is powercarving using a Kutzall Extreme coarse disk on an angle grinder. After sanding to 320, the posterior interface is complete.
