CHLOE: FROM TAYLOR REGEN LOHS: Hey, Legends! Are you interested in taking action to help clean up our environment and contribute to a clean world for future generations to enjoy? Well, ReGeneration LOHS has the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! Stash That Trash is an environment clean-up event where volunteers will pick up trash while walking from the school to Heath Road Park, near the River Valley. It will occur on Friday, May 10, at 8:30 am.

KANISHK: ReGeneration LOHS will provide bags and disposable gloves, but feel free to bring reusable gloves to reduce your impact on the environment! This event is the perfect way to enjoy a walk through nature with your friends while helping the environment at the same time. If you're interested in participating in Stash That Trash, fill in the volunteer sign-up form in the description!

FROM ATHLETICS - Congrats to our women’s rugby 15s team as they handily defeated Beaumont scoring 11 tries in the process.
Our Sr women’s handball team lost a heartbreaking semi final last night by a single goal in overtime. The girls left everything they had on the floor. Luckily they have one more chance to earn a berth at provincials as they will host Ainlay tonight in a qualifying game. Let’s go Legends!!

FROM LOHS POST: Legends, our very own LOHS Post is hosting a Short Story competition! Students are encouraged to submit a short literary piece less than 800 words, which they will then get a chance to present live at lunch. Winners will be featured in the LOHS Post and the top literary piece will be published in an issue of the local newspaper, The Riverbend Ragg-Times. Deadline to submit submissions is now May 8th. For more details and to submit stories, check out the LOHS POST Google classroom with the code down below: kpatzju or the school instagram. We look forward to seeing your legendary stories!

First off, Thank you to everyone who volunteered at the food booths and all our culturama performers. And shoutout to all the students who dressed up to show off their culture during culturama, and a big shout to the STEPS dance showcase which was all student choreographed and organised by Ms Albiston. And a big special shoutout to our LOHS TV dancers our lovely myli, and vincee, not only did Vincee perform but she was the Assistant stage manager for the show! Also thank you to our Design and tech class for designing all the lights and helping tech the whole show.
