This 1974 Mercedes 450 SLC V8 is very special to me and one of life’s keepers – we are custodians of special vehicles like this one but she looked very sorry for herself over the last couple of years and needed some TLC. I originally bought the classic Mercedes V8 in 2005 but soon realised it needed a full restoration as she’d rotted quite bad and the SLC is not the most sought-after model due to the rise and popularity of the hardtop roofless SL! I sold her to a friend who fully restored her at great expense and then she went unused for several years – when I got her back on a first refusal option to buy, I couldn’t resist adding air ride and upgrading the wheels for a little touch but with time, scratches and nips – it was time to contact DC Customs and book her in for a full winter restomod Overhaulin' restoration – absolutely gobsmacked by the finish – another One of One Petrolheadonism vehicle.
Thank you to DC Customs for Pimping My Ride and making her turn heads again – the reaction has been outstanding and we like to create a conversation with our Petrolheadonism promotional vehicles – what would you have done differently? What should I do next?
Over the years I’ve watched Overhaulin’, Pimp My Ride, West Coast Customs, Fast n Loud – building this car with DC Customs was indeed a fantastic personal episode of all of these together and DC Customs truly knocked it out of the park!
