In this video, I share my thoughts on how truly difficult it is to stand out on YouTube, and how time-consuming and stressful trying to become a full-time content creator is. If you are looking to understand exactly what to expect as a new content creator then this is the right video for you.

I have been making YouTube videos for about a year and a half. I started by making a weekly vlog that was just a bunch of small clips consisting of recaps from each day of the week, mixed together into a short form vlog to share with my audience what I did and what I experienced while trying to build my business, scale side hustles, and grow my online audience.

After taking a break because of the pandemic, moving cross country, having a video go completely viral, and doing a lot of thinking, I came back to YouTube with new goals, a new vision, and new motivation. About a month in, I picked up the camera and shared my honest thoughts, struggles and hardship when it comes to me making content for this platform. As rewarding and amazing it is to do well on YouTube, it is extremely, and I mean extremely difficult.

This is not a video that is meant to be me complaining for 8 minutes but instead, a video that is meant to provide a raw, honest, and undoctored view of what trying to grow an audience on YouTube is really like and provide some insight on what to expect when starting your own channel.
