Sometimes the best stuff to shoot is right in your own backyard. All it takes is a little sense of adventure and maybe a good book.

NOTE: Walking on railroad tracks is inherently dangerous and depending on the country, illegal. This hike to the falls is an oddball in the sense that there is no direct path, you must follow along the tracks to get to it. Most of the directions instruct you to walk beside the tracks to get there. This section is only the active section of a larger line, which was decommissioned over 20 years ago. One train uses it to move lumber and logs between the US and Canada a few times per week. It's a short, slow moving train but that doesn't diminish potential risk. The footage of us on the tracks was done on a Sunday when the train doesn't run. A second day was required for follow-up shots at the falls. As always, use common sense and don't take unnecessary risks.
