Imagine living in a country where a SIM card costs 2,500$ (yes, 2,500). This country was Myanmar, just a few years ago only a few people could afford an Internet connection. Today there are more than 33M people using a phone. A lot of them with data.

In the moment we were there, Myanmar startup ecosystem is just getting started and we were lucky enough to talk to some of the people who are shaping it.

In the last year things have changed at a dramatic pace. Myanmar Digital ecosystem is growing at an unbelievable speed: now the SIM card penetration is higher than 100%, major tech companies (such as iFlix, Grab, Uber) are already operating in Myanmar and Viber or Facebook have even bigger numbers.

Thanks again to our interviewees (in order of appearance):

- David Madden, Phandeeyar (http://phandeeyar.org/) - Phandeeyar has graduated Cohort 1 of his Accelerator. And also graduated the first class of Founder Institute.
- Ye Myat Min, NEX (http://nexlabs.co/) - Named Forbes 30 under 30
- Min Zeya Phyo, Code2Lab (http://code2lab.co/) - Raised 500K for his startup.
- Kaung Sitt, Kaway / Codeboratory (http://codeboratory.com/)
