"What we add which is critical is directionality. That's our claim to fame. This guy has a 40 plus decibel component from front to side to back. That means I can stand beside it or behind it when it's playing very loud and carry on a conversation, I can talk on my cell phone. The other thing is because it's so directional I am focusing the energy."

"One report I heard from a military person, that as soon as you play the deterrent tones, it's familiar now and they scurry out of there. They don't want to experience it anymore and you know, who knows how many lives that saves, both on the other side and on our side. They couple these things with a turret, with a machine gun, and quite often they don't have to use the machine gun."

"You shoot the sound in the window or door and they leave quickly. Shoot it in caves, they leave. I've heard of one of the police departments here in California serving a verbal warrant and they are a 100 to 200 yards away, out of harms way from someone who refuses to come out of their house or hotel room."

"There have been instances of where people have said: 'What if they wear ear plugs or put their fingers in their ears?' The device is designed with sufficient intensity that really doesn't do a heck of a lot. We've got some sounds that we play that will vibrate your head, shake your chest."

LEAD-IN:
There is a way to disperse crowds, scare off military enemies or repel pirates other than by rattling weapons - with a device emitting a sound so loud it makes people run off their own account.
Orders are coming in from the United States military, foreign governments and police forces for the device that the manufacturer claims is saving lives on the battlefront and at home.
