**my own note: One of the things that frustrates me the most is my data will go unrecorded. All my friends who have had experiences on this spectrum's data will go unrecorded. Most of what we as uterus owners know (and what we have to make medical decisions based on) is from swapping stories at parties and on social media. Outside of clinical trials, manufacturers of these products don't have a way to track data on long term patient health. The only massive long term study/data collection was done in Denmark, where they did find serious correlation between hormonal birth control and suicide/depression (IUD and patch were highest risk), however I personally am curious because the majority of Denmark's population is caucasian-- and I have found zero papers studying how people of varying races may respond to IUDs. Only 4% of IUDs in the USA are placed in womxn of Asian (or black) descent.
