MK Simcha Rothman
MK Simcha Rothman (Religious Zionism party) is Chair of Constitution, Law and Justice Committee and a former member of the Judicial Selection Committee. He formerly founded and was legal adviser to The Movement for Governability and Democracy (Meshilut), a leading voice against judicial activism and for the prop-er separation of powers in Israel. Roth-man’s first book, “Supreme Rulers: How Israel Became a Juristocracy” (2019) was a national bestseller. His new book is “Why Should the People Pick the Judg-es?”. He earned an L.L.M. in Public Law through Tel Aviv and Northwestern Uni-versities and his L.L.B. from Bar-Ilan Uni-versity. He also studied in Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh and served as a chaplain in the IDF’s Combat Engineering Corps.

Yaniv Roznai is an Associate Professor and Vice-Dean at the Harry Radzyner Law School, and C0-director at the Rubin-stein Center for Constitutional Challeng-es, Reichman University. He holds a PhD and LL.M (Distinction) from The London School of Economics (LSE), and LLB and BA degrees (Magna cum Laude) in Law and Government from the IDC. Prof. Roz-nai’s scholarship focuses on comparative constitutional law, constitutional theory, legisprudence, and public international law. He is a prize-winning scholar whose works have been cited by courts the world over, and the author of “Unconstitutional Constitutional Amendments” (Oxford Uni-versity Press, 2018) and “Constitutional Revolution” (Yale University Press 2020).
