The Adidas Dropset Trainers have been one of the more subtly surprising cross-training shoes that I've recently worn and tested. Going into this shoe I had literally no idea what to expect.

Adidas has never really been known for building shoes designed for tackling more serious cross-training workouts. For example, there are not many Adidas shoes I would reach for if I'm doing something like heavy trap bar deadlifts, but the Adidas Dropset Trainers has changed that.

I think if you're a recreational lifter or someone who has more of an athletic-focused bias to their training, then you'll really enjoy the Dropset Trainers.

They're stable, have an okay level of responsivenss, and have a wider fit so they'll work for a variety of foot anatomies.

Note, these shoes do lack some construction features for CrossFit. For example, the plastic midfoot support is not useful for rope climbs and if you're more serious about CrossFit training, then you may feel limited in this model.
