Structural engineers are facing two issues and are from very different sides, one is the impact the structural engineers have on the built environment, and the carbon emissions are decisions we can make on the environment and it is about increasing our knowledge so that we can help clients make more informed decisions, and will will become a fundamental part of structural engineering and the basics all engineers should know. The second is a knowledge gap that is becoming more divided as knowledge isn't being passed on, and this is about a pledge to help pass on your engineering knowledge to everyone who learns structural engineering from FEA to detailing analysis and Basic design.
