0:00 - Intro

-

BAD:

0:19 - Feels dated

First is the 8 in screen which seems to have very similar graphics to my old 2011 inifiniti G37
However, you get wired ACP here and that’s really what you’re going to use
Plus the upgraded 9 in screen on higher trims has newer graphics
Another weird thing in the native UI is the clicking sounds it makes - you can turn them off, but if you don’t everytime you touch the screen it sounds like a computer mouse from the 90s clicking through Windows 95
And then there’s the lack of hybrid or PHEV which we’ll talk more about in a minute

1:09 - Expensive

This car as-tested comes in at $37,420 and sure it has a few options added to it, but for that money you could get into a similarly equipped RAV4 Hybrid with better fuel economy. This rogue, as it sits, is also similarly priced to the new Honda CRV EXL, but with the options you’re paying near Sport Touring hybrid money and that’s the top spec CRV with a hybrid

1:55 - No hybrid

No matter how much money you spend on a Rogue, you will NOT get it with a hybrid or even a plug-in.

-

GOOD:

2:36 - Really spacious

We’re going to break this down into two parts the rear seats and the trunk

But yes, great space an comfort from the Rogue

3:43 - Features

Here you get the smaller 8 in screen that we already talked about, but you do get ACP and that’s really what you’re oging to use all the time anyway
You also get heated seats
Although you cant get cooled seats on any Rogue regardless of price - wack
You get a heated steering wheel here
A big pano roof that even opens up front
You get a reverse camera that’s pretty meh, but you can get a nicer 360 camera on higher trims

And then this is optioned with Nissan’s ProPilot assist which is actually quite good and I liked it in the Altima the opther week too

And then if you’re willing to spend more money you can get things like
Heated rear seats
360 camera
Wireless ACP
Fully digital cluster

4:50 - The engine

Anyway, what you have here is a 1.5T variable compression engine - that means the cylinders will change their stroke to give you more power or more efficiency, which is as simply as I can explain it without putting most people to sleep

Overall, it works really well! This thing is rated for 31 mpg combined, but just like the Altima, I’ve been out performing that this week
AND it makes a respectable 201 hp and 225 lbft - not bad for a 3 cylinder!

6:00 - Looks

I will say, this thing looks pretty good especially with the special kit we have here

6:48 - The Drive

Overall, it’s a perfectly nice experience here
The 3 cylinder gives plenty of power
And it makes a lot of fun noises like turbo swooshing to make you feel sporty
The steering is pretty numb but the front end is sharp and likes to turn
The body will then roll a bit, but it holds on if you want to drive hard
But nost people will drive it like normal humans and it’s a great comfy cushy ride
The visibility is fantastic
The cabin is quiet and isolated enough
The CVT is smooth and a non-factor most of the time

8:05 - Misc interesting things

And then I want to wrap up with some smaller interesting things that I kinda liked this week - and for a full break down of all the features check out the companion video that came out yesterday
