What rule did the Descendants cast only find out about two weeks before filming? What were they forced to do whenever they yawned on set? And what rule followed Dove Cameron
even after she broke free from her Disney persona? Let’s jump straight into Singing and Dancing Lessons with Descendants 4!
We all know that the Disney Channel has quite a few rules they want their stars to follow, and the cast of Descendants is no exception. From the first Descendants movie, all the way through Descendants 3, one of the biggest rules the cast had to follow was taking singing and dancing lessons. Evie actress, Sophia Carson, actually didn’t know the movie was going to be a musical at all, so the classes really did come in handy. Carlos actor, Cameron Boyce, being the youngest of the cast, wasn’t allowed to film longer than a certain amount of time, and the showrunners had to hire his body doubles. Mal actress, Dove Cameron, wasn’t allowed to color her hair because she was still filming for Liv and Maddie, but she didn't color her hair later as a tribute to her character. When the cast was shooting the scene for their Chillin Like a Villain routine, there was actually a typhoon going on, but because of the strict filming schedule, they weren’t allowed to stop or go home.
