I maintain some properties down the street from this empty lot, and every time I'd drive by it, nothing was getting done to it. So I decided to take action and clean up the street, sidewalk, and lot for free. It looked like it hadn't been cut in many years; the grass and weeds were chest-high in some areas, and the street gutters were caked with old maple leaves and years of accumulated dirt. After I finished cleaning up the lot, the neighbors gave me a round of thank-yous and said it had never looked this clean. I'm glad I could not only help whoever owns this empty lot but also help the neighbors out, as they are the ones that have to look at this jungle every single morning.
On top of that, they have to deal with all the weed seeds that blow into their yards every year.

My final thought about this property and a question I couldn't conclude was this: Was there a house here at one point? Maybe well over 100 years ago? I'm not sure. Maybe someone can one day solve that mystery...
