The Harimon family near Scottsbluff, Nebraska, is preparing for irrigation on their corn and soybeans.

The Bureau of Reclamation put the North Platte River irrigation districts under an allocation, which could challenge producers to provide enough water for their crops. Recent rainfall in the area, however, is relieving some of the stress to both crops and producers.

Chabella Guzman will follow the Harimon’s this growing season, as they grow corn and soybeans in western Nebraska.

Fridays in the Field is brought to you by FNBO, the Great Big Small Bank.
