Gayatri Mantra
The Gayatri mantra is was written between 2900 and 3500 years ago in Sanskrit. It is one of the oldest and most powerful of the mantras. It activates the heart centre and is said to enlighten the mind and the soul through chanting and listening to it.
Below is the written version of the mantra:

ॐ भूर् भुवः स्वः ।
तत्स॑वि॒तुर्वरेण्यं॒
भर्गो॑ दे॒वस्य॑धीमहि ।
धियो॒ यो नः॑ प्रचो॒दया॑त् ॥

om bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ
tát savitúr váreṇ(i)yaṃ
bhárgo devásya dhīmahi
dhíyo yó naḥ prachodayāt
– Rigveda 3.62.10[11]
Some meanings of the Gayatri mantra are:
"O thou existence Absolute, Creator of the three dimensions, we contemplate upon thy divine light. May He stimulate our intellect and bestow upon us true knowledge."
"O Divine mother, our hearts are filled with darkness. Please make this darkness distant from us and promote illumination within us."
"We meditate on the glory of that Being who has produced this universe; may He enlighten our minds."
"We meditate on the adorable glory of the radiant sun; may he inspire our intelligence."
I hope it the Gayatri Mantra brings you as much joy and enlightenment into your life as it has into mine. I feel a peace come over me every time I listen to it and an even more powerful force when I chant along with the mantra. It does take some time to learn the pronunciation but the pronunciation is very important to invoke the correct energy from the mantra. Take your time and practice. Hopefully, you will find yourself humming it to yourself daily, as I do. I use this mantra as part of my daily practice, it brings me back to my heart centre and allows me to function in my day from a grounded, more enlightened space
While I was living in Bali, Indonesia I would hear this mantra played from the temple 5 times per day. It spoke to me and I could feel myself uplifted every time I heard it played. I had to learn more about it and had to learn the mantra so that I could chant it myself. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to now share this mantra with you.
Love and light and fun!
