Ah, the age-old question. Do you install Drain Tile on the interior or exterior of your foundation? Truth be told, either way works! As long as it is graded towards the sump pit and placed next to (and not on top of) the footing, the Drain Tile will do its job.

The type of materials will change, however. On the inside, a 4" Corrugated Perforated Pipe with a sock will work beautifully. On the exterior, you will need a solid-walled perforated pipe so it can withstand the load of the dirt on top of it.

Both systems come with a Lifetime Warranty. Both will keep your basement dry. But the Exterior Drain Tile tends to be much more expensive, as you need to dig out the entire foundation in order to install vs just a small trench on the inside.
