Elon Musk has stated that Tesla will be coming out with a van, perhaps partnering with Mercedes on a Sprinter Van. An electric Tesla Van is a gamechanger product that would disrupt the van space, typically known for low margin commercial vehicles. While SUVs like Model Y and pickup trucks like the Cybertruck would have higher volume in the United States, vans are still an enormous market, and make up a much larger segment in Europe. By combining solar panels, FSD autonomous driving, and elements from the Tesla Cybertruck and Tesla Semi, a commercial van would be very lucrative and would help Tesla's mission to transition the world to sustainable energy.
