Why does EVERYONE love Call of Duty Black Ops?

Call of Duty Black Ops released in 2010 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC from the studio Treyarch who had some experience with the franchise going back to Call of Duty 3 and World at War just a few years prior. Black Ops was following on the red hot success of Modern Warfare 2, a game that completely changed the trajectory of not only the series, but modern first person shooters entirely.

Does Black Ops actually hold up in 2023?
