Work is really moving now on this the former site of the Cane Hill Hospital and Asylum. All that remains of the once vast Victorian Asylum is the Water Tower, Chapel and Administration Building. Having remained derelict for decades work started in 2012 clearing the site before construction of a new housing estate began in late 2015.
People are already taking up residency, roads are being named and the new Cane Hill Park is starting to take shape, life moves on and landscapes change.
