During the Covid-19 lockdown it is, perhaps , appropriate to look at London during World War II. Different circumstances, agreed, but nonetheless demanding of its citizens. This talk, delivered to guests on a Viking Ocean Cruises ship (www.vikingcruises.co.uk) explains how a capital city endured years of indiscriminate bombing. Using contemporary film and photographs this story shows the determination of the civilian population to 'carry on' and how the worked and played during those difficult times.
