In this episode I provide the history of the Volkswagen Rabbit, launched in the United States and Canada in 1975 as an import, known as the Golf in everywhere else, to gain back sales lost due to the losing popularity of the Beetle. The Rabbit would then later be built in America and modified in an attempt to appeal to American tastes, which VW fans criticized as being "Malibu-ized" and losing its appeal it had as a German car.
