In March 2017, graduating medical students at the University of Ottawa were interviewed by a classmate for a short documentary called The Match. The film has since been shared online all over the world and offers an inside look at the unique process for med students beginning their residency programs. Now, three years later, those students-turned-doctors find themselves facing a far greater challenge than worrying about if they'd be placed in the medical residency of their choice.

Six former classmates return to talk about what it’s like to be a young physician up against the greatest health-care crisis of our time: COVID-19. Patient People offers a peek into their world, delving into their personal and professional fears around the pandemic.
