In this video I attempt to repair the only twin-tape Walkman that Sony made, the WM-W800 from 1985. If you have a walkman that needs a new belt - you can find a link to the store below.

Enquiries about the clock - Here's the video I made about it back in November 2016    • Review: LaMetric Time - WiFi App enab...   If you missed this you might want to check through the back catalogue, as I've uploaded over 400 videos.

---Note ------
The video is a heavily compressed version of events. In reality this was shot over two weeks and approximately 5 hours. The machine was taken apart a total of three times - twice after the reassembly shown in the video in an attempt to rectify the playback fault, without success. As mentioned in the video there were other issues such as speed fluctuations due to sticky pinch rollers...so it was determined that enough time had been spent on this project and this was as far as this repair will go. I am now on to making the next video.

---Errors---

I mistakenly confused Doctor Walkman (who is actually a chap in Italy who repairs walkman) with Mihokm who supplies the belts on ebay. I apologise for the confusion.

In addition - I probably should have just said the walkman was working fine at the end - it would have been a happier end for everyone. I'm a bit too honest for my own good sometimes. I could easily have shown it playing on both decks and dubbed the sound over. Given the feedback it seems like a many people would have preferred this...so sorry for that.
