When you find ripe, in-season fruit, what do you do?! Get all you can get! If you end up with too much, you freeze it! Blueberries are one of the easiest and quickest fruits to preserve! Just think how happy you'll be using these in smoothies and baked goods!

Here's the process:

- Wash the berries and allow them to air dry. Water is an enemy when freezing and will cause crystallization.

- Once dry, lay them on a baking sheet in an even layer. Place in freezer until frozen solid, 4-6 hours.

- Transfer to airtight containers, label, and freeze. These easily last for up to one year if frozen well... and most times, well beyond that.
