An innovator at heart, Alex Kipman has led four major break-through products at @Microsoft, including Kinect in 2010. Microsoft HoloLens and the Windows Mixed Reality software platform are his latest product creations, bringing holograms and immersive experiences to Windows.

Kipman is named as the primary inventor on more than 150 patents since joining Microsoft in 2001. He also entered into Microsoft’s Hall of Legends in 2011—recognizing him as an individual responsible for creating or directly influencing a visionary initiative through collaboration and technical leadership, creating a breakthrough in the #technology industry.
