I got my hands on an electric powered enduro bike at the end of the 2022 race season and decided to give the World Series a go. I did the EWS-E in Crans Montana, Switzerland, and then the final round here in Final Ligure, Italy. The race format consisted of 3 loops with tight, technical liaisons and each having 4 or 5 timed stages - some of which were purely up hill! Burning 3 batteries in one day makes for a big ride so it's a really physical yet enjoyable challenge with around 12 to 15 stages in total and A LOT of trail time to be had. It looks like E-bikes are bringing endurance back to Enduro but let's see how the 2023 format shapes up... If it's anything like it was in 2022 then I'm excited for more!
