Audi isn't exactly known for its extrovert nature. Sure since the 1990s they've got a bit more exciting with some pretty damned fast estates and saloons, but all in all they make steady, good fare.

But, every now and then it lets its designers and engineers have an away day, a little time to relax and just come up with some mad ideas, and then lets them build them for a motor show.

Some of these lead to some kind of actual road car, but the majority are just wonderful flight of fantasy inspired by, among other things, 1930s Grand Prix cars, wedges and the A8.
