Ride along with Steffie and Dusty as they discover gold in the Old Dale Mining District, right on the edge of Joshua Tree National Park. With Chanel, our trusty 2021 Ford Bronco, we discover there really is some interesting off-road adventure in and around JTNP, with wide open vistas and none of the crowds found along the park's paved roads.

Gold was discovered in this area back in the late 1800's, giving rise to dozens of mines big and small. But most of it had played out by the nineteen-teens, leaving us with a rich history and old mine roads to explore. But we're on a short schedule so we can barely scratch the surface of this really cool area, with a quick tour right up the middle of it on Old Dale Road. But we have a feeling we'll be back soon for a more thorough investigation of the Old Dale district.
