UK to Finale Ligure in Italy is possible- one thing, you cannot take a battery on the plane! Airlines restrict lithium batteries over 160Wh - but if you remove the battery you can pick up a battery at the location!

Train from Nice Airport to Finale Ligure is approximately 2:30 hours and less than €30 - great value for money.
