Winning submission for the Funimation Be A Star music video contest. Featured on the 6th disc of the original release of the english Dub of DBGT in the US as a special feature. This is the original footage we used to generate the submission to Funimation.

My then-girlfriend (now wife) and I hand-colored every frame of the SSJ transformation and Kamehameha blast in Photoshop and then I painstakingly put them back together in FinalCut Pro. This was before Youtube and easy file-sharing. I remember burning the files to a DVD and walking them across a building at the college and pulling them into the then "Super Powerful" Mac we were using. We slept in the building that night.

My room-mate's friend Rob spent over a week mixing the sound, and there was no small amount of drama surrounding whose vocals to use or not and re-recording stuff.

One of the weirdest parts was having to record the video onto VHS to submit it (instead of just mailing them the DVD).

None of us received a single dollar from winning this contest and I bought the DVDs one by one as they came out waiting to see the video on there until DVD #6 came out, and there it was in all it's "glory".
