Is Ayurveda Evidence Based?

The question was actually about moving from an evidence based to non-evidence based practice and i wanted to expand on what constitutes as an evidence based practice.

The Cambridge dictionary defines "evidence-based" as anything "supported by a large amount of scientific research." Some definitions say it's something that is "supported by a large amount of the most current scientific research" in which case Ayurveda would probably not fit into that category just because the current methods of research aren't conducive to Ayurveda's individualized treatments.

Ayurveda is definitely not going to fit into the gold standard of randomized controlled trials, but it is helpful to keep an open mind if we want to continue integrating these sciences. I think both sides of science are awesome and needed. Hopefully you do, too :)
