We added a lift kit from Rocky Road Outfitters to the Quadra-Lift air suspension. The kit included new upper control arms and ball joints (serviceable), front strut tower, and rear shock spacers (airlines will require extenders at the front strut tower). We welded a second tab to the passenger side UCA for use with the air suspension setup. Per their website, they should not be used out of the box with the air suspension. Additionally, our neighborhood Jeep dealership was kind enough to provide us with a custom program for the air suspension. It is important to note that the rear airbags cannot handle the stock programming in offroad II mode. It conservatively provides 14.5" of ground clearance in offroad II when all is said and done. Aero, standard, offroad I, and offroad II modes all work as intended by the factory. This setup does change the geometry of the stock vehicle, so the rebound dampening is different from the stock setup. I feel it needed more dampening in aero mode; however, that gets resolved in the "sport" setting, and the vehicle drives excellently.

Another thing to note; the sport mode works throughout all height settings if you want more rebound dampening. I also enjoyed the sport mode revamped shift points for towing a 3k pound trailer at 10k-12k ft elevations in CO. With almost four-thousand miles behind us on this iteration of the build, this vehicle can do it all (for my use). It's solid offroad, towing, or wheeling. With a few setting changes, it handles better than most cars on the pavement. If I want to squeeze mileage out of it, you can make that happen. The best I've gotten around town with 34" tires is about 45mpg. Conversely, I got about 10mpg towing 3k pounds from 1,500 ft elevation to 7,000. On our camping trip throughout Arizona and Colorado, the average mpg was 15.6 (towing almost the entire way), and we only used three recharging stations (a total of 75 miles of electric range), with the rest being regenerative braking. To be exact: 3,376.5 miles driven. 15.6mpg. 22% electric use, and 78% fuel.

Louie, and Jeff, you guys rock. This build is all possible because of your love for Overlanding and ingenuity. Thank you!

Coming next: Hidden Wench, Prototype roof rack, and rock rails from Chief Products. Hopefully, they also get the front bumper and rear sliders done soon as well. False floor half hatch for better access to recovery gear (need to figure out a new spot for my spare). Swing-away or roof rack mounted? Input here would be helpful. Also, if you have other ideas, I would love to hear them.

Installed but not noted: Apex valve stems (air down in seconds, literally). ARB onboard twin high-capacity air compressor and integrated line. Full recovery gear under the rear floor. In the vehicle-mounted biometric safe.
