I made a 4 layer art piece made out of wood, inspired by the hexagon. Thank you CGP Grey for sharing with us all how awesome the hexagon is! The layers were cut using my Glowforge laser cutter, dyed with Keda colors, and then glued up for the final result. The art fits in a perfect space above my laser cutter filling out the space I work in everyday. The art piece is much larger than the cutting area so I had to design some clever overlapping of the layers to not only hide the seams but also to ensure its strength once everything was glued together.

If you are interested in making one yourself, I have made the digital files available for purchase here: https://www.engineeredrelics.com/stor...
