In this how2everystep video I am going to show you how I cleaned a faded car headlight by hand just using toothpaste, and then applying an ultra violet protective sealant, using carnauba wax.

So here we have an old plastic headlight lens, where the UV protective coating has warn away and oxidisation has caused the lens to go cloudy. This reduces light output and impacts the appearance of the front end of the car. I am going to show you how I restored the headlight lens using readily available house hold items, i.e. no special cutting pastes, polishes or tools. You will see that the mild abrasives in the toothpaste are enough to clean away the oxidised layer, restoring the headlight lens to like new condition.

In 10 easy to follow step:
Step1: Clean the headlight lens
Step 2: Apply toothpaste
Step 3: Spray with water
Step 4: Scrub with a sponge
Step 5: Wipe residue away
Step 6: Repeat Step 2 to 5
Step 7: Dry the headlight lens
Step 8: Apply Carnauba wax
Step 9: Allow wax to dry
Step 10: Buff the headlight lens

Tools Required:
1: Whitening toothpaste
2: Sponge
3: Water spray
4: Paper towels
5: Carnauba Wax
6: Microfibre cloth
