Welcome to our channel! This Log Cabin Project is a dream that we have had for several years that we finally decided to make a reality. Our goal is to build a tiny log cabin from scratch using as much material from our land as possible. We are building it entirely using hand tools (no chainsaw!). In this episode, we install a water+ice shield over our sheathing to make our cabin waterproof (finally!). We install 2 roof ridge anchors to secure ourselves on our steep 12/12 pitch roof. The membrane is a synthetic peel and stick type. It was quite fun to install! We also start to stain the outsides of our logs. Finally, we finish the framing of our 2nd gable end.
