Naresh Perinpanayagam is an advisor to a senior official in the Office of the United Nations Secretary General in New York City. Originally from Sri Lanka, Naresh grew up in New Zealand, where he studied law. His interest in human rights law inspired him to work at the United Nations, and he has worked at UN Headquarters in New York City, in Geneva, and as a peacekeeper in South Sudan. His UN work has also taken him to places like Nepal, Iraq, Pakistan, and Darfur.
