2023 continues to be a strong year for the stock market with almost all indices up so far. This has done wonders for my portfolio and seen it go from strength to strength so far this year. Is this a bear market rally or just the start of the next bull run.... who knows. Would be nice to see another bull run though, wouldn't it? Wishful thinking, maybe?

In addition to a rising market, I have also been able to invest a lot more that I would usually have been able to. This is partly due to having a new role at work but also due to the steady growth of my businesses/side hustle income.

The overall value of my ISA has increased by £2,500 in just two-months. Can it continue? Who knows, but it's nice while it lasts. New around inflation is becoming a little more positive. While inflation is still incredibly high the strategies implemented by the Bank of England and FED in the US do seem to be at least slowing the inflation rate. There is now hope that towards the end of the year we might see inflation rates come dow to a more manageable rate which in turn could be good for the markets. Additionally, a 'soft-landing' is looking more likely which would mean that the economy will have avoided recession.
