Tech Educators identified the need for more software developers from all backgrounds in life to enter the industry. The 2022 Tech Nation skills report noted that out of 12 million positions in the UK that became available, 2 million of them required deep tech knowledge. Whilst local higher and further education institutes are doing an incredible job of producing class leading tech talent, the throughput isn’t meeting demand. Further to this, many individuals cannot envision themselves learning the skills required in a traditional institutional education environment, nor afford the fees, or time commitment to a traditional long course. Tech Educators offers a diverse on-ramp to a range of roles within technology.

During the first year, Tech Educators supported over 100 students with their courses. For their junior developer programme, they have supported individuals throughout Norfolk, Broadland and South Norfolk, to learn the skills needed to become junior software developers.
