Chef Meherwan Irani is proud to share food that tells a story of identity and belonging. In 2009, Irani quit his day job in sales to open his first restaurant, Chai Pani, an authentic Indian street food joint in downtown Asheville. This self-taught chef founded the popular "Brown in the South" supper series, and is a four-time James Beard Award nominee for Best Chef, Southeast. Irani shares with us what most inspires him.
