Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala met with the Minister for Trade of New Zealand, Todd McClay, and his delegation at the WTO on 24 January and discussed about the upcoming 13th Ministerial Conference (MC13) taking place in Abu Dhabi from 26 to 29 February 2024. Minister Todd McClay is also the Vice Chair of the 13th Ministerial Conference.

"New Zealand is committed to making sure we have a positive outcome for both developing and developed countries, particularly around agriculture, the ability for countries to have the right to feed their own people, but also to make sure that we have a functioning world market that delivers for all countries," said Minister McClay.
