My grandmother, Meme, has been pondering on different hair alternatives and asked if I could twist her hair. She’s been growing bored of her natural hair and wanted a few weeks of convenience. I inherited her fine strands and densely packed follicles so I completely understood her request and complied.

Not only did I twist her hair, but we bonded over the complexity of hair maintenance and styling these days. As I gently sectioned her roots, she shared that she’d be interested in possibly beginning a loc journey of her own, and I happily volunteered to make it happen when she finalized her decision.

We only twisted her hair in this video but her loc journey officially began just 8 days later and I’m so excited to share the details of that journey here soon.
