Despite making up nearly half of the workforce, women in leadership roles continue to face a range of unique personal, social, and structural obstacles. Join Dr. Sherylle Tan in conversation with Jessica Dang '13 and Claudia Raigoza '14 as they discuss and explore these barriers, including bias, inequality, discrimination, and domestic responsibilities. Discover how the Women & Leadership Alliance, a collaborative effort between various research institutes at CMC, highlights issues faced by women in leadership and prepares students to assume leadership roles in business, government, and the professions.
Dr. Tan is the co-author of Women in Leadership: Journey Towards Equity (2022), is the interim director of the Kravis Leadership Institute, and is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychological Science. Jessica Dang '13 holds the position of Head of Customer Experience at Vode Lighting LLC, bringing experience from renowned companies such as The Walt Disney Company and ESPN. Claudia Raigoza '14, specializing in FinTech, has a background working with firms like Clover and Rapyd and is also a Kravis Fellow.
